Riot Games unveils new League of Legends champion - Steel Rider Rell

The American studio Riot Games has presented the next champion of its multiplayer role-playing strategy League of Legends - a steel rider named Rell.

As a child, Rell's parents sent her to a secret academy, where the future champion had to temper her ability to manipulate metal. The girl was forced to fight with other children. With each victory, the heroine grew stronger.

But one day, Rell noticed that the defeated opponents, including her friends, began to disappear. As it turned out, "the teachers forcibly took away magic from other children and implanted it in Rell's body, considering it the perfect weapon."

When Rell learned that she had been deceived all her life, she flew into a rage and razed the academy to the ground. Now the 16-year-old champion, riding an iron horse, is Noxus's enemy and protector of the weak and the oppressed.

Rell is a tank support champion. The heroine attacks very slowly, but at the same time steals some of the armor and magic resistance from her target. The larger the amount of stolen indicators, the more additional damage the character deals.

“We haven't released any support tanks since Braum came out and were happy to finally correct this omission. But we wanted to make Rell a lot darker and more serious than Braum, ”said senior concept artist Justin Albers.

The efforts of the oppressors were crowned with success: they managed to create the perfect weapon in the person of Rell. And no one and nothing holds her back, which is reflected in the basic skills of the champion.

On the battlefield in League of Legends, Rell will be able to use abilities such as:

Penetrating blow [Q] - destroys the shields of the affected enemies and inflicts damage on them, and also restores the health of Rell and the ally bound by different poles;
Different poles [E] - attaches a piece of Rell's armor to the selected allied champion, increasing his armor and magic resistance;
Magnetic storm [R] - creates a magnetic storm and dramatically attracts nearby enemies;
Ferromancy: Hard Landing [W] - Used only on horseback. Rell soars into the sky, and the iron horse turns into heavy armor. Upon landing, throws up enemies around him;
Ferromancy: On Horses [W] - used only when dismounted. Rell transforms the armor into an iron horse and accelerates for a short time, and on the next attack deals additional damage to the target and throws it over his shoulder.

Rell will appear on the League of Legends servers along with the release of the last announced update for the current year - 10.25. According to the post, the patch is scheduled for release on December 9th.
